One of the things that you can be sure of is that God knows your steps. He knows your true commitment to Him. You do not have to worry that your righteous life won’t be noticed. Not only does He see your love for Him and your righteous service, He also delights in your way and will bless your path! Psalm 37:23 (AMP) says: ”The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, and He delights in his way [and blesses his path].” Be encouraged and know that your steps are being ordered and directed by the Lord. Your relationship and journey with God will bring you to that place of blessing, favor and joy!
What you don’t see can hurt you!
I was awakened one night by a sudden noise in the living room. Instinctively, I ran to the living room to see if anyone had broken into our home. As I rushed in the darkness through the hallway that leads to the living room, I was suddenly stopped due to a strong blow to my head! For a moment, I didn’t know where I was. I forgot about the noise and the potential threat due to this sudden blow to the head. As I gathered my thoughts, I decided to turn on the light to see what hit me. What happened was that the closet door was halfway open and I ran right into the door head first. Well, no one was in the living room and everything was ok, except for the the large bump on my forehead! I learned that day just how important light is, especially when there is potential danger in your midst! 2 Samuel 22:29 (AMP) says: “For You, O Lord, are my lamp; The Lord illumines and dispels my darkness.” In our lives, danger is always lurking in the dark. These are areas that we cannot see. However by God’s grace, He illumines our path so that we can see any potential danger around us. Also, He dispels the darkness so that we can see our path clearly. Today, ask the the Lord to open the eyes of your understanding so that you can clearly see the things that could potentially harm you or you family. He will lovingly illumine your path and dispel any darkness around you. After all, He is the “light” of the world!
