Instead of worrying, do this!

The Apostle Paul addressed a very important issue in our day, and that is worry. He joined the Lord Jesus in teaching us that worrying is not only useless, it is dangerous. In Phillipians 4:6, the Apostle shares this: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” He says: Don’t worry! But he doesn’t stop there. He adds : “Don’t worry about anything.” That means that worry is useless in any arena. We are simply not to come into agreement with worry in any scenario. Worry and fear go hand in hand. When we worry, we are telling our brains and bodies that a crisis is at hand, and your body will respond by going on the defense. That is when the palpitations begin, the chemicals in your body take you into overdrive, and stress begins to break you down physically, emotionally and spiritually. Your mind begins to conjure up many bad scenarios, and you are taken out of your place of peace and authority. The next time you are tempted to get into a place of worry, instead go to prayer, and remember that God has told us to “not worry.” While you are in prayer, remember that God is with you, and He works all things for good. It doesn’t matter what you see at the moment, know that God will give you peace and strategies during these uncertain moments. Also, thank God for the good things and good experiences you have already been through. Remember that in the same way that God has delivered and helped you in the past, He will do it again. The greater one resides within you!

Phillipians 4:6 (NLT) “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

He will deliver you!

The three young Hebrew men were told if they do not bow before the king and worship his image, they would be thrown into a fiery furnace. They refused to bow down to the image that the king had set up, so the king had them thrown into the fiery furnace. Then, to the king’s amazement, nothing happened to them. As a matter of fact, the king saw all 3 men in the furnace walking around, with a fourth person, who looked like the Son of God! They came out without any burn marks. Their clothing didn’t suffer any damage, and they didn’t even smell like smoke.  God protected these three men. Why? It was because these three men had a profound relationship with God! They would seek God with all of their hearts on an ongoing basis. They trusted God with ALL of their hearts. Now it’s our turn. Let’s be the ones who seek God with all of our hearts. God will be with us during the good, the bad, and the ugly times. He will even deliver us from those that would try to destroy us. Greater is He that is within us!

Jeremiah 29: 12-13 “Then  you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart”.
