He never leaves you nor forsakes you

King David went through many dark days. There were times that he thought he would die. It was during those dark times that he would cry out to the Lord, and the Lord would deliver him out of all of his troubles. He learned to not fear evil when it reared its ugly head, because he knew that God was with him in the good and bad times. Jesus promised us that He would always be with us. Never allow the enemy of your soul to deceive you into thinking that God has abandoned you. He never leaves us nor forsakes us, even when we go through the valley of the shadow of death! So walk through that valley onto the other side, because He is with you!

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me;

We are the righteousness of God in Christ!

King David understood that his righteousness came from God. Psalms 31:1 – In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness. As we trust the Lord, He begins to show us the path that leads to righteousness. His Spirit opens the eyes of our understanding so that we can depart from paths of death and destruction. He shows us those that will walk with us on this path. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Psalms 23:3 (part B) “…..He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”
