Let your light shine!

The Lord Jesus is the light of the world. He also said that we too are light in this world. Light in the scriptures has various definitions. It can be sunlight. It can also be knowledge and revelation. Light reveals what is hiding in the darkness. Proverbs 4:18 says: “The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day”. That is very enlightening. When we first start in our walk, it doesn’t look like there is much light in our life. However, as we grow in the Lord and in His word, His light begins to shine brighter and brighter until the full light of day. This means that God’s light of His presence, His wisdom, His grace, His love and His will is shining in you and through you greater and greater each and every day. More and more people will be seeing His light shining through you in the coming days and years. Always remember, just as Jesus is the light of the world, we too, are the lights in this confused world (Matthew 5:14). Let your light shine in this holiday season!

Proverbs 4:18The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn,
which shines ever brighter until the full light of day”.

The Lord will deliver you from this!

You will experience many battles throughout your lifetime. The Psalmist once said “Many are the afflictions of the righteous…..”(Psalms 34:19). Battles will always exist. Sometimes battles come because the enemy is testing your faith. Sometimes a battle comes because of the enemy’s desire to destroy you. Other times, you will be the one battling to overcome something that has been harassing you. King David also said that even though the righteous go through many battles, the Lord delivers him out of them all! Are you experiencing a battle of your faith? Are you being harassed, vexed, and persecuted? Remember that even though your enemies will fight against you, God is right there with you, and will help you to overcome their attacks. He will rescue you. That is His promise!

Jeremiah 1:19 “They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord”
