God knew it all along!

Every time I read Jeremiah 1: 4 – 5, It never ceases to amaze me. Here is what it says: “Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you;I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” God reveals to us that He thought about us before He formed us in our mother’s womb. He carefully designed us with gifts and abilities. He carefully thought about when we would be born, and to what region we would be born in. This denotes purpose and value. He then goes on to say that He even ordains us to a specific and important task in our lives. He sanctifies us for that purpose. To sanctify means: To set apart for a purpose. So remember today, you are precious to God. He created you with love and intentionality. You were set apart for what He called you to do. He already ordained you to serve Him in your lifetime. You are precious and needed. Go be what God already called you to be!

Jeremiah 1:4,5Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

His Name is Great!

The Lord Jesus taught us the perfect pattern for daily prayer. He taught us to begin our prayer with worship and honor. God’s Name is Holy. The word “Hallowed” means: To make Holy, To venerate, To consecrate, Sanctified.  When we come to the Heavenly Father, we must recognize His Holiness. He truly is worthy to be praised. His Name reveals many things about His love toward His people. In the Old Testament, you can find His Name connected with a specific revelation of His nature or character. We can see embedded in His Name, divine provision, protection, care, healing, restoration, warrior, sanctifier, holy among other things.Your Heavenly Father’s name reveals His absolute love for His children. Always remember that when you come to Him each morning!

Matthew 6:9 -In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
