You don’t fool me!

I’ve learned not to get fooled by those who seem to prosper even though they are doing so in illicit ways. Many mock Christian values and morals. They think that just because everything is really good now, it will be that way forever. The scriptures make it clear: What we sow, is what we reap (Galations 6:7). If we sow sin and unrighteousness, any prosperity we have now will vanish in time. Don’t look at the prosperity of the wicked. It’s temporary, and behind the scenes, many are experiencing issues and problems that have been created by the foolishness of mocking God and righteous living. Stay the course. Know that you have favor that the world lacks. God is with you, and He is pleased that you are walking in integrity and uprightness. In the long run, you will still be standing, while the foolish one is no more.

Proverbs 14:9 Fools mock at sin, but among the upright there is favor.

Is your foundation solid?

When you build a home, you must have a solid and firm foundation. If the foundation is faulty, the building will show cracks in the facade sooner or later, or it will slowly sink as the foundations fails. One must pay attention to how the foundation is built. It’s the same way with our lives. Either we build on the solid foundation of the word of God, or we build on personal opinions and feelings. This nation’s foundation is slowly eroding as more laws are created to uphold people’s selfish feelings and personal desires. As this nation gets away from the bedrock of God’s word, one can expect irrational laws and decisions that will leave many questioning who are those whom are making these very decisions. One thing is clear: the works of the flesh will take people away from God’s Kingdom and spawn off many self-created problems and crises that can only be healed as the nation prays and repents of its sin. It’s time to pray and intercede for this precious nation, especially for the sake of our children and children’s children.

Galations 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [d]adultery, [e]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [f]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
