Resurrection Power!

King David meditated on God’s word continually. He knew that God’s word contained life, wisdom, protection, instruction, direction and gives life to those who embrace His precepts. Psalm 119:93 (KJV) says: “I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me”. The (NKJV) says: “for by them You have given me life”. That word quickened is the Hebrew word Chayah (Strongs Hebrew: 2420), which means: “to revive, to make alive, to give life, to preserve, to restore back to life”.  Did you know that Jesus is the Word of God? Yes, He is the Living Word of God. We also have the written word of God which speaks of Him! John 1: 1, 14:  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”. Ephesians 2:1 says: “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins”. If you are reading this, take a moment to thank God for the fact that you are alive. Be grateful for life. In Christ, you also have eternal life. I know that we are in the midst of many people who are constantly complaining about the dumbest things. But don’t get caught up in that mess.  Instead, take time to realize just how blessed we really are. By God’s grace, we have been given life and life eternal. Be like King David of old, and thank Him every day for the gift of life. Remember, He loved us even when we were dead in sins and trespasses. He is worthy of gratitude and praise!

This is the place of power and healing!

Prayer is powerful! Prayer is communication, but it is so much more than that. It is fellowship with the Father. It is being transparent before God. It is trust in God, His character, nature and faithfulness. It is the place where you make your requests made known to God. It is also your legal tool to declare the will of God over yourself, your family, your church, your community and your nation. The Apostle James said that we need to pray for each other, and even confess our sins to each other so that we may be healed (James 5:16). Matthew 18:19 says: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” While I am not an advocate for sharing your private life with just anyone, you should have someone that you trust that can pray with and for you. Effectual righteous prayer brings healing and restoration. It releases the power of God and produces wonderful results. It’s time to stop doing things on your own. Let go of any pride or shame that you may be carrying, and ask for prayer. You will be amazed at what God will do when you pray together with others.

James 5:16 “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”
