Here is the reward of humility!

In today’s world, many acquire riches by taking advantage of and even hurting others. Many companies and business people do not care how their process of making money affect other people, just as long as they are making a profit. When we strive to make money without caring what happens to others, or when we use illegal means to make money, it will invariably bring along with it stress, worry, fear, and retribution. From time to time, we see famous people  arrested because they used illegal means to create wealth. Another thing we hear is that some had mental or emotional breakdowns because they could not bear the continual pressure and stress of keeping wealth that was ill-gained. However when God gives us bountiful provision, He also gives us the privilege of being able to enjoy it without undue stress and worry. We can go to sleep peacefully and confidently because we live our lives with godly integrity. He gives His beloved sleep (Psalms 127:2)! Along with the abundant resources He blesses us with, He also gives us honor and life. That my friend, is the reward of humility!

Proverbs 22:4 “The reward of humility [that is, having a realistic view of one’s importance] and the [reverent, worshipful] fear of the Lord Is riches, honor, and life.“

Esto es la recompensa de la humildad!

En el mundo de hoy, muchos adquieren riquezas tomando ventaja de otros. A muchas empresas y empresarios no les importa cómo su proceso de ganar dinero afecta a otras personas, siempre y cuando estén obteniendo ganancias. Cuando nos esforzamos por ganar dinero sin importar lo que les pase a los demás, o cuando usamos medios ilegales para ganar dinero, invariablemente traerá consigo estrés, preocupaciones, temor y retribución. De vez en cuando, vemos personas famosas arrestadas porque usaron medios ilegales para crear riquezas. Otra cosa que escuchamos es que algunos sufrieron trastornos mentales o emocionales porque no pudieron soportar la presión y el estrés continuo  de mantener las riquezas que ganaron ilegalmente. Sin embargo, cuando Dios nos proporciona una provisión abundante, también nos da el privilegio de poder disfrutarla sin estrés y preocupación. Podemos dormir tranquilos y con confianza porque vivimos nuestras vidas con integridad piadosa. ¡Él le da a su amado sueño apacible (Salmos 127: 2)! Junto con los abundantes recursos con el cual nos bendice, también nos da honor y vida. Esto mi amigo, es la recompensa de la humildad!

Proverbios 22: 4 “La recompensa de la humildad [es decir, tener una visión realista de su importancia] y el temor [reverente] del Señor es la riqueza, el honor y la vida”.
