So Christmas Day came and went. People all over the world celebrated this precious holiday. Today I went to the mall and the place was packed with people returning gifts, enjoying an evening with their family and friend and looking for post-holiday deals. For many, Christmas is over. Yet, for us, Christmas is not just a day. It’s not just a holiday. For us, Jesus is still the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. He is still on His throne. He is still saving, delivering, interceding, restoring, providing. He is still setting the captives free. He is still Lord. For us, Christmas continues because it’s about Him. We were grateful on Christmas, and we continue to be grateful today. We felt His Love on Christmas, and we continue to appreciate and feel comforted by His Love today. The message of Christmas continues. As the angel said in Luke 2:10, “Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” His Presence is still bringing great joy to all people. Remember, He is not a Holiday; He is the Savior of the world! Have an awesome week!
