I love the movie “the ten commandments” with Charlton Heston. I’ve seen it countless times. I know every part of that movie. I even know how it ends. Yet, I still look forward to the burning bush part, and my favorite part is the parting of the Red Sea. They didn’t have any way out, yet God made a way for them. They were delivered supernaturally as God opened up the sea and allowed them to walk on dry ground to the other side. Simply spectacular. Well, this past Easter weekend reminded us about how God provided deliverance for the entire human race once and for all. Jesus died on the cross. But it didn’t end there. The Easter narrative shows us what Jesus did for us. Yes, that’s right! Jesus came out of the tomb, alive! I’ve heard the story countless times, yet I still am thrilled at the outcome, and at what the resurrection means for us. That means that all His promises are true! He is alive, so that means that all who trust in Him will also overcome and receive eternal life. Because He rose again, we are now His sons and daughters and co-heirs with Christ. This TRUE story never gets old. We know what happened, so this should give us eternal joy and peace that passes understanding, even in the midst of any crisis!
Romans 5: 8-10 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life”
