Wisdom comes from life experience and study. Godly wisdom comes from the Holy Spirit as one continuously studies and meditates on the word of God, sustained and consistent prayer, making mistakes and learning from them. Also, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom! (Psalm 111:10) Wisdom is a powerful defense and a great life giver. Proverbs 10:31 reveals that the mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom. However, in order for your mouth to bring forth wisdom, you must first fill your mind and heart with wisdom. This denotes personal responsibility. It is your responsibility to continuously learn. That means that one must always remain a student, and always be willing to learn something new every day. Never be so busy that you have no time for the Holy Spirit to show you something new in His word. Remember, you have the power of life and death in your mouth. Make sure that you are always releasing life in all of your communications and conversations. After all, that is what the righteous do!
Proverbs 10:31 “The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut out”
