The Bible teaches us about God, the history of His people and the plan of redemption among other things. The Bible was also written for our instruction. Romans 15:4 (Amp) says: “For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.” In other words, when we study God’s word, it will give us an overflowing hope and confidence in His promises. It encourages us during trials and tribulations. It encourages us when life’s circumstances attempt to discourage us. There is an answer for all of life’s challenges. Today, ask the Lord to give you insight and discernment as to what His word is saying, and watch how the Lord will open up your eyes to see what He is doing, and your heart to understand what He is saying. In all of your celebrating in this Christmas season, celebrate His goodness in the land of the living. This is the day that the Lord made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!.
