He overcame, and now gives us the power to overcome!
2 Timothy 2:3 says: “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. The word endure means: to remain firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding, to undergo especially without giving in. (Merriam Webster Dictionary) You can see throughout the scriptures that God’s people had to endure hardships and difficulties. The Lord Jesus told us in John 16:33: These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” When you endure, you are standing against some form of attack, criticism, or persecution. We have the DNA of the Lord Jesus Christ. He overcame! Therefore, we also overcome. His Spirit gives us the strength and authority we need to overcome. God expects us to rise up and never give in to the tricks and schemes of the enemy. When you are attacked unfairly, go to God in prayer, worship and supplication, and He will cover you with His strength. Joel 3:10 says: “Let the weak say I am strong.” I will rejoice in Him who loved me, forgave me, adopted me into His family, and now is with me and never forsakes me. He will lead me out of the pit. He will be with me, even when I pass through the valley of the shadow of darkness. Say: I am strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might!
Matthew 10:22 – “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”
