Are you listening to the father of lies, or the Father of Truth?

The Proverbist revealed that God hates a false witness who speaks lies (Proverbs 6:19). The devil is the father of lies (John 8:44). When the wicked use lies to get ahead or to destroy others, Jesus said they are just like their father the devil. they use lies to assassinate other people’s character, or to destroy them. This grieves the heart of God. Here are several other truths that the scriptures reveal about the practice of lying to distort or destroy:

One who lies about others is a false witness (Proverbs 14:5). One who employs deceit speaks lies (Proverbs 14:25). Those who are false or deceitful witnesses will not go unpunished, and will not escape (Proverbs 19:5). Jesus said: I am the Way, the Truth and the Life (Proverbs 14:6). Truth is His nature. When a child of God speaks, he speaks like his Father, and he brings forth truth and life. Don’t allow the spirit of this world to deceive you into a lifestyle of lying and deceit. Always remember that Jesus said:  “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

Proverbs 10:18 – Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.

Ceñidos vuestros lomos con la verdad!

¡La palabra de Dios es la verdad absoluta! En Juan 17:17, Jesús confirmó este punto: “Santifícalos en tu verdad; En Juan 8:32, Jesús dijo: “Y conocerás la verdad, y la verdad te hará libre”. Estaba dejando que todos supieran que Él y Su Palabra no solo son la verdad, sino que también es la verdad que nos hará libres. Jesús confirma esto en Juan 14: 6: “Jesús le dijo:” Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida. Nadie viene al Padre sino por mí”.

Pablo también confirma que la verdad está en Jesús: Efesios 4:21 “si en verdad lo has escuchado y has sido enseñado por él, como la verdad está en Jesús”.

Necesitamos saber esto porque el apóstol Pablo nos instruyó que nos pusiéramos toda la armadura de Dios. Parte de la armadura es que tenemos que ceñir nuestros lomos con la verdad. La verdad nos protegerá de las mentiras del enemigo. La verdad nos mostrará el camino a seguir y los caminos a evitar. La verdad nos hará libres. Recibe su verdad hoy. Jesús es la verdad
