The beauty and awesomeness of God’s Names 

Psalm 91:14
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name” 

God’s name is more than just a word by which He can be called. His name describes His character, His person, everything that He is. 

Since our God is so incredibly glorious, one name is quite inadequate to describe Him. Therefore, many names for God are given us in the Bible. Each name helps us to understand Him just a little better than we would have understood Him without it. 

In the Hebrew language, He is called Elohim, which means: the One True God, the living God! The God above all gods! 

He is our Source, our Creator, our Sustainer, our Founder, our Protector, our Supporter, our Nourisher. His Name is above all names! 

One of His glorious names is: Jehovah Jireh. He is the God who gives us all we need. Jehovah-Jireh means “the Lord will provide.” In Genesis 22:14 Jehovah Jireh provided a ram for Abraham to offer in the place of his son Isaac. 

That glorious Name reveals that He promises to provide all you need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19) He will provide for you emotionally, sustaining you with energy, renewal and encouragement. He will make provisions for you financially, socially, culturally, mentally, physically, educationally, relationally, and family-wise. He will also give you the knowledge, wisdom, strength, guidance, deliverance, protection, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control that you need along with all sufficient grace for every trial. (2 Cor. 12: 9,10). David penned a great promise in Psalm 34: 9 (NLV), “Those who fear Him never want for anything.” 

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for your Name and all that it reveals. You are truly my Source. You are my everything. I live, breathe, and am secure in you. Thank You for providing all of my needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Daily I will remember and declare your Name so that I will never forget how awesome and wonderful You are! Thank You for your Name. I praise and glorify your Holy Name! In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!
