In Matthew 7:24, Jesus taught: “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. The righteous stand on the solid bedrock of God’s word. One of this day’s tragedies is that this nation is getting farther and farther from God’s word. If we do not build on rock, then the only other option is sand. Jesus taught this about building on sand: “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall” (Matthew 7: 26,27).
Winds and storms will come. When they do, the great issue will be, is your house, your life, your future, your destiny built on the rock of God’s word, or on the opinions and desires of man. If your house is not built on the rock, it will not stand. It’s time to reassess your foundation.
Proverbs 10:25 – When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more,
But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.
