Who and what do you really love? 

Psalm 91:14
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name” 

Love is a powerful emotion. I have heard of people enduring many painful moments because of love. It’s similar to a soldier who was imprisoned and tortured, but because he kept on thinking about his wife and children, he endured where most people would have given up or even died. What about the love of a mother, who would throw herself in front of a speeding car to save her child? Love is the most powerful emotion and decision in this world. We prioritize that which we love, so our actions regularly display what we love. We treasure what we love. Jesus said in Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” God revealed to us that He will deliver those who have set their love upon Him. He knows who truly loves Him because He sees our hearts. He will set on high those who love Him. Do you love Him completely? Is He number one in your heart? Is He your 

treasure? He loved us so much that He became flesh and died on the cross for us. If you could measure the level of love that you have for Him, would it be 25%? 50%? 75%? Consider this today because He is looking for 100%. After all, He gave us 100% on the cross! 

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for your everlasting love for us. I recognize that I never earned this love. It is only because of your kind and tender mercies that we are not consumed. I ask your forgiveness for not loving you the way you deserve to be loved. Today, help me to remove anything that has come before You. – any idols, any pride, arrogance, hate, unforgiveness, lies, and any other thing that would get in the way of You being first in my life. I determine to seek the Kingdom of God and Your righteousness FIRST! It’s all about you!!! In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen!
