Who called 911?

When you hear the term 911, you normally think that there is an emergency. We also think of the bombing of the twin towers since it happened in September 11th, or 9/11. However, there is another 911 that I would like to highlight today. It’s found in Psalm 91:1. Notice the numbers: 911. The verse says: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”. This verse reminds us that the place to go to in any crisis is in the secret place of the Most High. During this crisis, we need to make God our fortress and refuge. If you read Psalm 91, you’ll see that in God’s presence, there is safety and security. There is peace. There is joy. There is divine defense. Many people never thought that something like this could happen in our day and in this nation. Well, I guess that this is our wake-up call! It’s time to get back to God. It’s time to realize that we need God in this nation and in our lives. For those who make the Lord their refuge, be reminded today that you can expect God’s divine protection, provision and presence. Take a moment today and every day to read and meditate on Psalm 91. It is God’s 911 response!

Psalm 91:1-6 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
