Who called 911?

When you hear the term 911, you normally think that there is an emergency. We also think of the bombing of the twin towers since it happened on 9/11. However, there is another 911 that I would like to highlight today, which you find in Psalm 91:1. Notice the numbers: 911. The verse says: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”. This verse reminds us that the place to go to in any crisis is in the secret place of the Most High. During any crisis, we need to make God our fortress and refuge. If you read Psalm 91, you’ll see that there is safety and security in God’s presence. There is peace. There is joy. There is divine defense. Many people never thought that all the crises that we are seeing now could happen in this nation in our day. Well, I guess that that this is a wake-up call! It’s time to get back to God. It’s time to realize that we need God in this nation and in our lives. For those who make the Lord their refuge, be reminded today that you can expect God’s divine protection, provision and presence. Take a moment today and every day to read and meditate on Psalm 91. It is God’s 911 response!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for your eternal promises. I thank You that I can go to the secret place of the Most High and find divine protection, refuge, provision, wisdom, joy, peace and salvation. Help me to re-adjust my vision and hearing to receive only that which comes from your Presence. There are so many voices in this world that are not speaking Your Will. They are only serving to distract me and separate me from your Presence. I declare today that I will dwell in the secret place of the Most High and will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!
