Matthew 5:6 says: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. This verse reveals the importance and need to hunger after God and His righteousness. We need to be hungry for God’s Presence and word. For those who think that they do not need God in their lives, they are sadly deceived. Many think that just because they have “book smarts,” and are in control at the moment, they don’t need anything else. Many times, pride, abundance, and too much earthly study actually will drive people to confusion, delusion and disillusion. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they realize just how futile the vanity-filled life is. God’s Presence and Wisdom is available to anyone, but you cannot casually run into it. You have to really want it. You have to hunger and thirst for it. It is only then that God’s Wisdom and Presence will be revealed to you!
Proverbs 14:6 (ERV) “Anyone who makes fun of wisdom will never find it, but knowledge comes easily to those who understand its value”
Proverbs 8:17 “I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me”
