Psalms 91:5, 6 “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday”
It is easy today to get into a spirit of fear and concern. All one has to do is turn on the daily news. Pandemic scenarios, Drive-by shootings, gang violence, political upheaval, school shootings, and the list goes on. However, we must not give in to a spirit of fear. Paul said in 2 Timothy 1:7: ” For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”. Jesus said that we are to occupy until He returns. This means that we cannot allow anything to paralyze us. We have a great purpose, and that is to let our light shine in our lives. Reject fear and worry. There is so much to do, and God is with us. Psalm 118: 6 says: “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” He will protect and keep us. He is faithful to His promises.
Prayer:
Thank you Heavenly Father that You have given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind! Your word tells us to be bold and courageous. I will not fear what man can do because the Lord is on my side. I do not need to worry about anything that goes on during the day or at night because You are always with me. I love and appreciate You for your divine love, care and protection for my family and me. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen!
