Some people say “my mistakes and sins are my business. I’m not hurting anyone else.” That couldn’t be further from the truth. Our actions impact and affect others. Romans 5:17 says through one man death reigned. Adam’s actions have affected us all. The same verse however lets us know that the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ blesses us with an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. He also causes us to reign in life. Our actions, decisions, mistakes and words can help others, or cause others to stumble. The actions and behaviors of parents can impact their children. The actions of a sibling can affect the other siblings. The actions of friends can bless or wound each other. The actions of elected officials can affect the nation. The actions of ministers can bless or hinder the congregation. Just as Adam’s actions impacted humanity, our actions are powerful and can affect others more than we realize! It’s time to take responsibility for our life and actions. Others are depending on us!
