The wicked’s desire will destroy them!

In Esther 7: 9 & 10, it shares the punishment that came upon wicked Haman. He had determined to hang a righteous man named Mordecai. He even fashioned a gallows where he would have this righteous man hanged. However, the story reveals that evil Haman ended up hanging on the very gallows that he built for Mordecai.  Instead, the King ended up promoting Mordecai to Haman’s former position. God is faithful and righteous. When the righteous fall into trouble, God will deliver the righteous out of their problem. Psalms 34:19 states: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. You might be going through an affliction at this very moment, but know that God is about to give you double for your trouble. Be at peace and know that God is for you and with you. He never leaves you nor forsakes you. The trouble that the wicked one is trying to send your way, will instead come upon him!

Proverbs 11:8 – The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead.

God set Peter free when they prayed!

In Acts 12, King Herod decided to persecute some of the church. During that process, Peter was arrested. Already James the brother of John had been killed during this persecution. Peter was next on the list. However, the church was praying for Peter, and God responded by sending an angel to deliver Peter. The angel freed Peter from his chains, and even helped Peter to leave the prison without 4 squads of soldiers noticing. This amazing deliverance happened as a result of the church praying for Peter. In the same way, when we go through difficulties in life, prayer can bring about a miraculous intervention. So many of us just give in to the stresses of life without considering the fact that God is well able to shift and change your situation in a heartbeat. That is why Jesus said “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24). The place of prayer is the place of transference and power. That is where you give God your pain, your disappointments, your sadness, your despair, your hopelessness, and He gives you His love, His power, His grace, His wisdom, new opportunities, and he shuts down that which the enemy planned against you. It’s time to pray!

Acts 12:5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
